Mrs Margaret Massie
15 November 2007
Age 80
Lived in Dundee for most of her life, moved down to Leeds about 15 years ago.
Margaret was wife to the late Douglas Massie, loving mother to Shirley Morley and the late Douglas Massie. Grandmother to Anthony, Lindsay, Martin and Susan, and Great Grandmother to Callum and Maia.
Margaret passed away peacefully, she decided her time had come and passed away surrounded by her family.
My Nanna was a great woman, she was a friend to many. She was always ready to help anyone.
I remember her always wanting to feed everyone she met! lol
She was stubborn, but very caring.
I will never forget her, she helped to bring me up and has always been there for me, im sure she is looking down over me and the rest of the family making sure that we are ok.
Miss you Nanna
Nanna.....
We had a wonderful Nanna,
One who never really grew old;
Her smile was made of sunshine,
And her heart was solid gold;
Her eyes were as bright as shining stars,
And in her cheeks fair roses you see.
We had a wonderful Nanna,
And thats the way it will always be.
But take heed, because
Shes still keeping an eye on all of us,
So lets make sure
She will like what she sees.....
We all miss you dearly nanna...xx
Goodbyes the saddest word, is a lovely song chosen by her daughter, my mum Shirley.
Home by westlife wasnt the song we choose for her, she kinda choose it herself, my mum Shirley had picked 2 great songs for my Nanna, but everytime we turned on the radio, Tv or just got in car, that song was playing! So we took it to mean that that was the song she really wanted.
Well it is a great song.
Flower of Scotland by the red hot chilli pipers, i think my nanna would of loved it, it would of definetly put a smile on her face.
Bye Nanna xxx
4 Years
Well Mum, I cant believe its been 4 years since you left us. Sorry I've not been on here for so long. The time is just going so fast.
As you probably know, we are living near the coast at long last. Loving it and hoping we get many years to enjoy it too.
I talk to you everyday, but do miss giving you a hug & kiss. Also when I was poorly, just a cold but, poorly. All I wanted was my Mum, you always knew how to look after me when I was a child, lol. So Steve had to make my cosy juice, yeh he still looking me. Dont think I could have got through the past 4 years without him. Like Dad was to you, he's 'My Rock'
I miss not seeing Lindsay and the kids, but they have been down quite a lot, thank God for family rail card, lol. Our little Dylan has had a lot of problem, but, bit by bit, he is overcoming them. He stood on his own on Saturday, for the first time. It was fantastic, like winning the lottery. We didn't think he could, and he is proving us wrong. Keep an extra special look over him please.
Tony & Emma still loving NZ, especially now with their little girl, Olivia. I'm so happy for them, but miss them so much. Emmas family get over to see them all the time, it looks like we'll never be able to afford to go over. At least we get to see them on Skype, which is amazing.
Anyway will go now, give Dad, Stevie, Dougie & everyone else a hug & kiss from us. Keep looking over us, love you loads Mum, will come on again in a couple of weeks for your Birthday xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi Nanna, well your now the proud owner of 4 great grand children :) I had a little boy last May he's called Dylan, he is doing great, and Tony had a little girl in August, she is called Olivia and she is soooo cute. Still on pinder street, it's still close to all my friends.... but not so close to mum anymore as she finally did it :D
She moved to the coast a few wks ago :) i think she is really happy, both her and steve.
Callum and Melissa are doing great too, melissa turned 2 a few wks back, she is a lil shorty like my mum lol.
Callum doing great at school, and were all fine.
Miss you loads and hope your doing great up there, keep watching over us and please keep us all safe.
Love you loads xxxxxxxxx
Hi Nanna :)

Callum started school 2 weeks ago, he is doing brilliantly, only prob is that he won't go into the school hall for his dinnner, he says its too noisey! lol, hopefully he will get over it soon, and join in with everyone else. He looks really smart in his uniform, its royal blue jumpers, white shirts, and grey trousers. I'll post a pic on here for ya when i upload some onto pc.
Melissa is doing great too, she can sit perfectly on her own, she can say dada, and she has just cut her two bottom teeth!! i thought she was too young to have teeth lol, callum didn't have any till he was 1,
she hasn't lost any of the hair she was born with, i can put pigtails in her hair already n she's only 6 months lol.
Mum is having quite a few problems with her back at the moment, she was at hospital only yesterday having a cyst on her spine drained, this is the second time she has had it done now, please help her out, n make sure she don't have to do it again, its making her very anxious, i'm sure she will be fine soon.
Haven't really heard anything from tony, it was his 29th the other day, he went on a road trip for his birthday, he has put some lovely pics on facebook ;)
Oh well better go, got lots to do, i'll be in touch soon, give everyone up there a kiss for me :) lots of love Lindsay xxxxxxx

Hi mum, I am so sorry its been so long since I have visited your site. But you know I talk to you everyday anyway. Thanks for being there when Lindsay brought my Grandaughter, your Great Grandaughter into this world last night. It was so obvious you heard me begging you to help her, in amongst my prayers. She did so well and the birth turned out extra special. Now our Melissa Kathryn is here for you to watch over too as well as our Callum. What a lovely Mother's Day I have had, I'm sure you did too.
